Production Plan

For our Unit 3 project, Phill and I decided to create a radio show. The target audience that the radio show would be aimed at would be a wide range of people. Nationally the show would reach around 200,000 people. The age range of the audience would be roughly around 22-50 years old, this is because of the time that the show would be aired, these are the type of people who are going to work around 6-9am, when the show would be on. The reason for all of this is because we will make the show entertaining while also having a serious side which means that the listener would want to listen to the show to start their day because the entertainment side would keep them cheerful on the way to work but they will also be kept up to date with news items. The show would be a chat show with regular features. The chat between the hosts would be a mixture of banter and serious discussion which keeps to the basic outline of the show being a mix of entertainment and seriousness. We have come up with an estimated for the cost of the show. This came to around £2400

Unit 3 Evaluation

Unit 3 Evaluation

For our unit 3 project, me and Phill chose to work on a drive-time radio show. We both agreed that drive-time was the best type of radio show to create and we used Chris Evans and Steve Wright as a basis for our own show. I think I worked well as part of the team and independently. In pre-production I made many contributions to the project, such as researching to discover an estimated cost to make the show and contributing towards the scripts for features used in the show. I also contributed to pieces of work done by other members of the team. When working with other members I took caution so as not to cause an altercation between us and when working on my own I worked to my full potential in order to complete the project. Despite myself being ill for a week of the production process, we did not fall behind in any of the work and and completed the project before the set deadline. There were a few times when we me and Phill did not communicate well, but we fixed this by using texts to arrange meeting times and locations.

Agenda

1. Amount of content
2. AOB

Minutes from Meeting

1. The content that we have recorded is not going to take up as much time as we thought so we have begun to write more content, this should not be a problem and it will probably not affect the schedule. Although we need to create more content, we are happy with what we have produced so far.

Production Meeting No: 2
Date:
Group Members Present: Alex Dean, Phillip Wickham

Agenda

1. Communication between group members
2. Roles of members
3. AOB

Minutes from Meeting

1. Alex and Phill had a slight problem with setting times for meeting in order to record the show, however this was mainly due to both members having other work that they needed to do. They have now swapped phone numbers and these problems should not resurface.
2. Both members are happy with their current roles within the group and are getting on with their share of the work well
3. The production and recording is still going well and we still believe that we will finish the product on time
